Corrections policy

APPDOOK aims to be accurate first time. When we are not, we correct the article and say what changed.

How to report an error

Email info@appdook.com with “Correction” in the subject, or use the contact form. Include the link to the article, what is wrong, and a source for the correct information if you have one.

What we do

  • Factual errors - a wrong version number, date, device, price or attribution - are corrected in the article, and a note at the end of the article says what was corrected and when.
  • Spelling, grammar and broken links are fixed without a note, because they do not change what the article says.
  • New information after publication, such as Apple confirming or denying a report, is added as an update with its date, or reported in a new article that links back.
  • A story that turns out to be wrong at its core is corrected at the top of the article, not quietly removed.

What a correction note says

A note is dated and says plainly what changed, so a reader who saw the earlier version knows what to disregard. For example: “Correction, 14 October 2026: an earlier version of this article said the update reaches iPhone 11. Apple’s release notes list iPhone 12 and later.” It sits at the end of the article, and the article’s “Updated” date under the byline changes with it.

Sources and images

If a link in an article’s sources stops working, we replace it with the publisher’s current address or an archived copy. If an image is credited wrongly, we fix the credit. Neither needs a note unless it changes what the article says.

We do not hide mistakes

An article is not deleted or quietly rewritten to make an error disappear. If one ever has to come down, for a legal reason, its page says so instead of vanishing.

Analysis and opinion

The analysis section of an article is our judgement, and disagreeing with it is not an error. If our analysis rests on a fact that turns out to be wrong, we correct the fact and revisit the conclusion.

How quickly

We read every report and aim to reply within two working days. Corrections are made as soon as the error is confirmed.

How we check stories in the first place is set out in our editorial policy.
